Bahrain will face Nepal in the fourth Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament final at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city today (Friday), reports UNB. The eight-team tournament’s final will start at 5:00 pm local time. Channel-9 will telecast the match live while Bangladesh Betar will broadcast running commentary. Country’s sports-loving Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is expected to be the chief guest in the final and will distribute the champion trophy.

Bahrain team assistant coach D Nosor expressed his optimism to clinch the title saying, “We hope we’ll win the match.” Replying to a query the coach said, “In any game our aim is win; it’s any one game, and there is no easy team in the tournament.” The coach said his player will play their best and there will be different strategies in the final against Nepal.

Nepal team head coach Balgopal Maharjan also hopeful of winning the match against Bahrain. “We are well- prepared for the final, hope we’ll win; I know they (Bahrain) are physically better than us, but we’ve also some quick counter attackers,” Balgopal commented.
